We were able to get closer than before. This looks across Rt. 27/Washington Boulevard. Note, workers frequently threw office chairs, desks, etc. down the wooden slide to the left of the flag.

Flights had resumed at Washington Reagan National Airport, a mile or two south and a little east of the Pentagon — definitely a comfort and a sign for residents that things were starting to return to normal.
